Mossy Lava Rock

This order is for one clump of Java Moss, securely attached to a lava rock with two clear rubber bands. The lava rocks will vary, but all will be about 2".

Java Moss is widely used in planted aquariums due to its deep green color and delicate fronds. This versatile moss can be used in various ways to create different styles within a planted tank, making it a popular choice among enthusiasts. Its stems are short, reaching a maximum height of 4 inches. Unlike other plants, Java moss does not have roots, but instead anchors itself with small sticky "feet" called rhizoids. This is how the moss attaches itself to the rock. It may take some time for the moss to completely secure itself this way. 

Plus the Lava rock is super awesome too. Besides being really cool looking, the porosity of the rock also makes it ideal for housing beneficial bacteria, which is great for your aquarium! A perfect home for good bacteria. Your aquarium will thrive with its natural filtration system.

Growing parameters:

• 60°-86°F
• Ph 6-8
• Low to high light intensity. (low light will result in more leggy growth, while higher light will grow more compact) 
• Medium-Fast growth speed
  

The rubber bands can be simply snipped off when the moss has anchored itself completely. I do not use clear line to tie the moss down due to one of my fishies becoming entangled one time. If you wish to have your moss tied with the clear string just message me and I will switch it (:

DISCLAIMER - These mossy rocks are grown in a shrimp only tank. (not the one pictured) So there should not be any hitchhikers besides perhaps a rouge shrimp fry.
