Giant Duckweed, like its name, is much larger than the more common Lesser Duckweed. Although still a pretty small floating plant at roughly 1cm fully grown. This species features a striking purple underside and because of its size, it can be much easier to control compared to Lesser Duckweed.
Super fast growth! Usually people purchase 10 plantlets per 10 gallons, but you could easily start any size tank with just a few of these guys.
No special tank requirements, can be kept anywhere from 45-85°F so this stuff will thrive in pretty much any tank!

Everything came alive even dispite being in a hot mailbox all day (not sellers fault) and was packaged well.
They seemed to have arrived safely, despite their having to travel through the cold. I let them warm to room temp in their baggy, and I'm about to rinse them and add them to their new homes. Some little seaweed/aquatic plants arrived with it. They're very cute. I hope they'll like their new home and help with my mineral and algae problem (it's a bog terrarium with carnivorous plants.) Thank you very much!
